As I warned in my recent post Fences, I have tons of photos of rural fences and gates, most taken while walking my dogs in the valley.
Since it’s 2F this morning, rather than venture outside, here’s a group of photos from last year, December 21-25, 2018.
Except the last two photos, which I just took standing a foot outside my door – brrr! – because this morning’s pink sky at sunrise, the moon still high, was gorgeous.
I delight in exploring the national forest near my Idaho home on foot, whether trail running, hiking, or xc skiing, with my two dogs by my side, taking photos of nature and wildlife. An author and freelance writer, I love observing and writing about the natural world, and dogs, and am a long-time contributing editor at Bark magazine. I used to practice law for a living. I much prefer the writing life.

These are simply stunning!
Why is it someone else’s snow is always prettier?

Thanks!
Maybe because we don’t have to shovel their snow…? 🙂
